The engineers of ECKELMANN AG have experience in the development of medical devices and large-scale medical systems. As a sub-contractor of Siemens Healthcare, ECKELMANN implemented the control systems for particle therapy systems – for the particle accelerator as well as for the radiation control and monitoring. The new therapy form uses heavy ion beams for the therapy of patients with hitherto untreatable or difficult-to-treat tumours.
