Oliver Baudson Leads Machine Automation

Wiesbaden, 05.05.2022: Eckelmann AG has appointed Oliver Baudson (52) as the head of the Machine Automation division effective April 1, 2022. In this role, he will be responsible for the operational leadership and performance of the sector, encompassing sales, product development, and application. A key focus of his role will be the continuous strategic development of the division, internationalization, and the exploration of new market segments for Eckelmann’s automation and digitalization solutions.

“At Eckelmann, I am entering a completely new product and industry environment with clear future prospects,” emphasizes Oliver Baudson. “Developing the best ways as a team to optimize the interplay between sales, (product) development, and the interface to in-house electronics manufacturing is particularly appealing to me. This forms the basis for us to provide our customers with qualified service.”

About Oliver Baudson

Oliver Baudson has over 25 years of experience in senior positions in plant engineering. Most recently, he was the site manager of TSK in Cologne, an internationally operating Spanish energy plant constructor, for 8 years. TSK Cologne specializes in concentrating solar power (CSP) and builds large CSP power plants. He was responsible for sales and tendering, finance/administration, engineering, R&D, and product development. Oliver Baudson studied “International Project Management” at the University of Siegen and graduated in 1997. His career started in international plant construction as a junior engineer at Fritz Werner GmbH in Rheingau, which later became Ferrostaal Industrial Plants GmbH. At Ferrostaal, he first encountered concentrating solar power, which fascinated him so much that he joined Flagsol GmbH (now TSK) in Cologne as head of sales and marketing.

“Content Matters to Me”

Oliver Baudson explains, “Customers increasingly expect not just singular expertise but comprehensive problem solutions with reduced technical and legal interfaces. A large mid-sized company like Eckelmann can excel by flexibly responding to customer requirements in well-selected market and customer segments. In these segments, I want to ensure broad visibility for Eckelmann AG with my team. Our extensive and integrated soft- and hardware portfolio allows us to connect with a wide range of industrial applications. Content matters to me: Eckelmann has the tools and know-how to truly innovate in machinery and industry. I am excited about this!”

Tailor-Made Automation for Digital Transformation and Energy Transition

“One of our strengths lies in our ability to implement very specific customer requirements as complete solutions, both under a single responsibility and competitively on an international level,” emphasizes Board Member Dr. Marco Münchhof. “With Oliver Baudson, we have brought on board a very experienced manager. I look forward to working with him and a highly competent team to further develop the potentials and strengths of machine automation and to strengthen and expand our market position, also as an innovation partner for emerging technologies needed for the digital transformation of industry and the energy transition in mechanical engineering.”
