Safe controller E°SLC 89

E°SLC 89

The more complex the machine, the better the performance of the safety logic.

The E°SLC 89 safety controller provides you with a SIL3 and PL e certified safety master for your machine. Complex safety functions can also be mapped in the PLC via CODESYS V3, and safe communication to the drive level is available with FSoE. This makes the E°SLC 89 the central contact for the entire safety technology of the machine.

Safe I/O modules

Safe I/O modules

Compact, flexible and modular.

The safe UBM I/O modules provide digital inputs and outputs for the E°SLC89 controller. The UBM bus couplers allow both centralized and decentralized safety circuits to be implemented.

Safe I/O supply modules

E°UBM module

Simple but effective.

Even without a dedicated safety controller and complex logic, simple safety concepts can be implemented via the safe power supply modules of the UBM series. No programming on the PLC side is necessary.

Functional safety in the drive

E°Darc C modular structure

Functional safety means, on the one hand, ensuring the protection of people and the environment and, on the other hand, minimizing the hazards for the technical components themselves. The E°DARC Ci safety components are certified according to IEC 61800-5-2 and comply with Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3).

Overview of the safety functions

Customer-specific safety functions

drive controller from above

The modular servo system E°Darc Ci allows the integration of additional pluggable hardware components. For instance safety solution for a high-speed spindle with speeds of up to 40,000 rpm: SIL2 standstill monitor with integrated safety IO-controlled external monitoring.

  • Space-saving, components are integrated in the drive.
  • Cost optimization through elimination of unnecessary standard components and housings
  • Simple wiring, no more Y-cable required on the encoder cable to an external safety controller.
  • Shorter response times
  • No unnecessary latencies due to pure hardware implementation (analog technology)
