With modification times of less than 1 µs per module, the E°XBM real-time I/O system provides a fast and trouble-free data transfer even for complex applications with high data rates. This makes for highly dynamic and extremely accurate process and control applications.

The next-generation I/O system is perfectly geared to the interaction with the latest control generation of E°EXC 88 and future controls. The I/O system can be integrated in Ethernet-based fieldbuses or non-Ethernet-based fieldbuses (CANopen™) in a clock-synchronised way.

Bus Coupler

Whether Ethernet-based fieldbus or CANopen™ —integrate up to 63 I/O modules of the E°XBM series with E°EXBM bus couplers. The I/O system can be connected directly to the E°EXC 88 control; remote operation via bus coupler. In contrast to other solutions, modules connected to the E°XBM KOP EC EtherCAT bus coupler are not connected via EtherCAT but via the local E°XBM bus. This way, the resistance to interference is significantly increased and the connected modules do not extend the duration of the EtherCAT telegrams. The solution offers ideal conditions for particularly fast and synchronous processes.

Communication modules
