Refrigeration control technology in the food industry
Finished and semi-finished products need to be refrigerated in the industrial production of food and beverages. During storage and delivery, refrigeration protects the goods against deterioration and ensures optimal and quality-preserving processing temperatures.
In the meat-processing industry, refrigeration accounts for a considerable 40 percent of the total energy costs. Heat recovery from refrigeration is a particularly reasonable measure to increase energy efficiency, as large quantities of heat are needed for the heating of drinking water and for the tempering of meat.
The intelligent E*LDS control system for refrigeration plants also controls the interface between refrigeration plant and heat recovery and ensures a safe and energy-efficient operation.
Canteen kitchens, for example
The E*LDS system has also proved successful in canteen kitchens. Here, a lot of energy can be saved with a central refrigeration control for cold rooms and blast freezers.
