Philipp Eckelmann, CEO
Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Philipp Eckelmann studied industrial engineering and management, specializing in electrical engineering at the TU Darmstadt. After graduating, he worked for six years as a management consultant at Porsche Consulting, focusing on operational excellence in production and development processes. In 2014 he joined Eckelmann AG, where he was initially responsible for business process optimization. He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2016 and Chairman of the Executive Board since November 2021, with responsibility for Central Functions and Automated Refrigeration.

Volker Kugel
Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. (FH) Volker Kugel studied mechanical engineering at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. Volker Kugel supplemented his first degree with a second degree in industrial engineering and management at the University of Applied Sciences in Bochum. This was followed by international positions as project and sales engineer, area sales manager, product manager, sales and marketing manager and managing director at renowned mechanical engineering companies. Before being appointed to the Executive Board of Eckelmann AG in 2022, he was most recently responsible for the business of a mechanical engineering specialist for industrial automation in production, warehousing and intralogistics as sole member of the Executive Board. As a member of the Executive Board, he is responsible for Automation Projects and Automation Service.

Marco Münchhof
Dr.-Ing. Marco Münchhof studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt, graduating with a degree in engineering, and earned his doctorate in the research field of condition monitoring at the Institute for Automation Technology there. At the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA he completed his Master of Science/SUNY in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has been with Eckelmann since 2010 and is responsible, among other things, for the development of our solution portfolios for mechanical engineering. As a member of the Executive Board, he is responsible for the Automation Products division.
