The focus of the EuroBlech presence: intuitive and safe cutting
Safety for people at the machine is the focus of the Eckelmann Group’s trade fair appearance: the E°SLC 89 safety control system and intuitive operation with the E°CUT HMI.
Plasma, laser, oxyfuel or waterjet cutting: The Eckelmann Group is a sought-after partner for the complete automation of CNC cutting machines. Whether light industry, high-definition or combination machines, the E°CUT packages cover the entire range of cutting automation. The proprietary CNC core incorporates the experience of well over 40 years: Accordingly, the command range includes many options that go far beyond the standard command range and have been developed from practical experience. Designed for harsh environments, nothing can easily upset the controls.
Eckelmann is, of course, open to all technologies when it comes to the choice of cutting equipment: Customers are free to choose from standard cutting technology providers.
Safe control: E°SLC 89
Increased productivity and process stability with safety: the more complex the machine, the better the safety controller must perform. The E°SLC 89 safety controller is a high-performance, SIL3 and PL e-certified safety master for cutting machines that can also map complex and fine-grained safety logic in the PLC, not least thanks to the close interlinking of the safety PLC and CNC. Safe communication to the drive level and all safe IO modules takes place via FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT). This makes the E°SLC 89 the central point of contact for the machine’s entire safety technology.
The standardized control platform offers further advantages in terms of procurement, warehousing, training and service. Plus long-term availability of parts – regardless of the usually short replacement cycles in the PC world.
All in one: the E°CUT Elements Package
With the “E°CUT Elements Box”, Eckelmann presents the latest addition to its product portfolio: The space-saving Elements Box offers a quick and simple way to automate “light industrial” machines with E°CUT. The plug-and-play box supports a plasma or oxyfuel cutting head as well as marking. The small dimensions of around 60 cm x 50 cm x 25 cm are striking. It contains the control unit, servo controller, cables and motors. The E°CUT Elements software is included and the CAD/CAM software is available as a perfect complement.
Intuitive HMI for simple operation
The E°CUT HMI serves as a user interface for the machine operator, who is guided intuitively and simply. The HMI is also an important argument in view of the shortage of skilled workers – anyone can operate this interface after a short briefing. The OEM uses the E°CUT HMI to configure the solution, as a tool for commissioning the machine and also as a service tool during the machine’s life cycle. Up-to-date documentation is provided on the Eckelmann E°EDP platform.
Specialist for bevel cutting
Eckelmann makes the 3D future topic of bevel cutting very easy for its customers: Due to the free configurability of the CNC core, the E°CUT solution supports a wide variety of kinematics for bevel cutting. Various correction functions make it possible to further increase the cutting quality.
Comprehensive protection of customer know-how
As a medium-sized partner, the Eckelmann Group strengthens the sheet metal processing industry with the expertise of well over 40 years of experience. It is the personal support that leads to fast results, exquisite and exclusive solutions, even for complex issues, whose uniqueness naturally protects the customer’s intellectual property (IP).
Eckelmann adapts and continuously enhances applications so that they fit in harmoniously with the machine concept and the look and feel of the machine manufacturer. Of course, Eckelmann is also present in the export markets of its customers with international locations and agencies, for example with Eckelmann Industrial Automation Co., Ltd in Shanghai for Asia.
