“We won as a team in the 25-hour race against the impressive backdrop of Wiesbaden’s spa gardens,” emphasizes team captain Alexander Much: “Our team isn’t just made up of the runners; they were cheered on by their colleagues and families, who braved the rain. Everyone surpassed themselves. The success speaks for itself: after 317 laps, our team came in 25th place! At the end of this great sporting event, everyone went home feeling good, but with heavy legs.” In addition to the active runners, he extends special thanks to the helpers who assisted with setting up and dismantling the team tent and providing refreshments.
Roland Simon, a long-time colleague, now retired and former team captain, also offered his enthusiastic congratulations: “Congratulations on 25th place, it was a neck-and-neck race! 317 laps – a great achievement!”
Working day and night – nothing unusual for Eckelmann, because what was traditionally achieved at the WISPO 25-hour run is also achieved by colleagues in their everyday working lives!
A team experience that will remain a fond memory and already has everyone looking forward to participating in 2026!
