Eckelmann: Smart Building Automation for the New Wiesbaden Public Order Office

Objective

The new Public Order Office building in Wiesbaden-Schierstein called for a modern administrative facility designed to accommodate the various areas of use and the high volume of visitors. Commissioned by and in partnership with Brömer & Sohn GmbH, Eckelmann implemented the building automation system for the heating and ventilation systems. The system is reliable, efficient, and precisely tailored to the specific requirements of this high-traffic building.

The Customer

As the largest medium-sized construction company in the Wiesbaden region, Brömer & Sohn—now in its fourth generation – delivers expert construction work. The company provides construction services in the areas of building construction, civil engineering, turnkey construction, and building renovation – and has been doing so for over 90 years!

Eckelmann’s Performance

  • Virtus Tectum Grid Building Management System
  • Centralized control and monitoring of all applications: room automation, fire protection, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, utility management
  • Operation, reporting, and diagnostics: Data from all relevant systems is uniformly
  • Maximum data security: state-of-the-art encryption technology
  • Visualization of building systems: all building systems data, processes, and applications are networked and integrated on a single platform

Application

Intelligent control for sophisticated building operations: The heating and ventilation systems have been networked into a single, intelligent system. Temperatures, airflow rates, and operating times are continuously adjusted to actual usage. This creates a comfortable indoor environment for employees and visitors, while energy consumption is optimized to meet actual demand.

Integration into the modern building infrastructure enables transparent operational management and lays the foundation for further optimizations. The result is a future-proof solution that effectively combines technical quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
