Since the E°CUT release 2023.1.0, Eckelmann has been delivering a fully integrated and pre-configured partner solution for automated oxy-fuel cutting with IHT APC. User-friendliness has been specifically increased: With the integration of the E°CUT solution package, the entire machine can be controlled much more easily and safely. The operating personnel work on only one panel, which replaces the previously used two panels and allows for simple and intuitive operation.
For nearly five years, Eckelmann engineers have been equipping cutting machines from leading manufacturers with automation technology together with their partner IHT Automation.
Kurt Nachbargauer, Managing Director of IHT Automation, and his team have accompanied the integration of the new E°CUT solution package. In the Baden-Baden showroom for oxy-fuel cutting technology, IHT Automation also presents a cutting machine with an innovative APC system for the automated oxy-fuel cutting process via E°CUT for training purposes.
With APC, IHT Automation presents an automated technology for oxy-fuel cutting of sheets, pipes, or profiles, used on cutting tables or by robots. It ensures maximum productivity and a safe cutting environment.
The innovative E°CUT solution package from Eckelmann seamlessly integrates the solution from the development partner IHT into the E°CUT HMI, the PLC, and the E°EXC89 control.
The APC system itself includes an integrated technology database for oxy-fuel cutting, oxy-fuel cutting torches, gas regulators, ignition, and distance control. Advantage: The E°CUT solution package is pre-configured for the use of the APC system from IHT. After installation, it allows the customer to start cutting immediately.
Eckelmann engineers succeeded with the E°CUT solution package for the automation of CNC cutting machines, significantly simplifying processes while greatly easing the workload.
