Eckelmann offers a modular solution that detects 1D or 2D codes under demanding environmental conditions, even when there are no distances between fast-moving objects.
Two code scanners with an easy-to-install Ethernet connection are used per conveyor line for the modular system, which can be installed with little effort. The scanners read container codes redundantly on both sides.
The recorded code data of the packs is forwarded to a PC. This generates a data record with a time stamp and identification of the scanning location and the conveyor line. A local database buffers the information and ensures secure, loss-free data capture. The transfer to the customer’s own systems can be individually adapted so that integration is carried out exactly according to customer requirements.
The system is designed at the factory for 16 reading points (8 lines) with an average conveying speed of 3,000 containers/line. Data records are buffered for around 3 months and can be called up on the PC at any time.
Both the display outside the machine network via network or Internet connection and the possibility of remote maintenance are possible.
Optional mobile phone and WIFI connections ensure stable data transmission even under adverse on-site conditions and enable convenient remote maintenance. In addition, communication with other systems can be maintained in the event of a missing Internet connection or network failure.
