Eckelmann North America founded

German automation experts Jan Hilpert and Hans Platt, who live in America, take over the management of the newly founded Eckelmann North America LLC. Presented for the first time at the upcoming FABTECH, Eckelmann North America will meet the growing US demand for directly applicable industry solutions, such as for the automation of cutting machines, support local customers and acquire new ones.

Eckelmann’s CNC core includes over 40 years of experience in machine automation, and the E°CUT solution for the complete automation of laser, plasma, oxyfuel and waterjet cutting based on this includes decades of development work. Whether light industrial, high-definition or combination machines, the E°CUT packages cover the entire range of cutting automation.

“In the recent past, we have already completed numerous regional projects in the USA. With the establishment of Eckelmann North America, Jan Hilpert and Hans Platt, we will continue to drive our growth,” says Dr. Marco Münchhof, CEO at Eckelmann, who sees enormous potential. “A company that focuses exclusively on this region is the logical and optimal solution.” Münchhof completed his Master of Science/SUNY in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with a focus on automation technology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

All activities in the United States will be coordinated from the new location in Houston, Texas. Jan Hilpert has decades of experience in automation technology, particularly in the cutting industry. With their knowledge of the North American market, they are ideal contacts for local customers. Eckelmann North America will also develop further tailor-made solutions for the rapidly growing market for industrial automation and digitalization – including a warehouse hub and service.
