Chillventa 2026: System Architects for Modern Refrigeration and Building Automation Technology

At Chillventa 2026, Eckelmann will be showcasing its expertise as a systems architect for modern refrigeration and building management technology in Nuremberg from October 13 to 15, in Hall 6, Booth 403. The focus will be on a comprehensive system landscape ranging from high-performance cooling point controllers and refrigeration control systems to cloud-based services and cross-discipline building management.

Reliable operation, digital monitoring, and energy savings: with the new generation of Virtus Pro hardware, the Virtus Caelum digital services, and the Virtus Tectum Grid building management system. Visitors will experience a seamless technical platform for refrigeration and building automation that offers a comprehensive solution featuring control, communication, remote service, reporting, and smart building integration.

The New Generation of Virtus Pro Hardware

High functional density, compact design, reduced wiring, quick commissioning, and clear suitability for modern transcritical CO₂ systems. The VPC 5000 takes center stage at the Chillventa exhibition as a complete solution for CO₂ refrigeration systems. It natively positions and controls up to six compressors. In addition, it includes low-, medium-, and high-pressure control, gas cooler and fan control, and supports variable-speed compressors.

The VPC 5000 enables connection to heat recovery systems and, using auto-adaptive optimization strategies, adjusts cooling capacity to match actual demand. A generation of hardware that not only controls systems but also serves as the foundation for digital services, remote maintenance, and scalable system architectures.

The VPC 5000 leverages its digital capabilities through two independent Modbus channels, two independent CAN bus segments, and communication with Virtus 5 via Ethernet.

Stay Cool When Reporting!

More Than Just a Cloud: The Virtus Caelum digital solution for refrigeration and building automation in the retail sector. The Virtus Basic Desk helps refrigeration technicians monitor and optimize refrigeration systems equipped with Eckelmann technology.

As a web-based service, the HACCP Desk assists supermarket operators in meeting their documentation requirements for product temperatures.

With the Eckelmann Building IoT platform Virtus Tectum Grid, technical building operations are digitally connected in a transparent and cross-system manner.

Store and building operations benefit from a forward-looking Building IoT platform with unified visualization, operation, diagnostics, and reporting capabilities.

Eckelmann International

Eckelmann approaches refrigeration and building automation from a cross-border perspective – with strong partners, proven expertise, and a clear focus on international markets.

Refstep Oy, a leading refrigeration specialist based in Kellokoski near Helsinki (Finland), has been a reliable partner of Eckelmann AG for decades. At Chillventa, Refstep will meet with its customers at the Eckelmann booth, underscoring Eckelmann’s international focus.

Logictec of Saudi Arabia and Eckelmann have decided to build a final assembly facility in Dammam for controllers from Eckelmann’s building management systems portfolio. This marks an important milestone in their joint market development in the Gulf region, driven by their shared commitment to successfully advancing modern building management systems on an international scale.

Together with ThermoDynamics and other integrators and full-service providers from the United Arab Emirates, Eckelmann is consistently expanding the market and service infrastructure for modern refrigeration technology in the Gulf region. The focus is on establishing an efficient market and service infrastructure for Eckelmann’s refrigeration control systems.
